Practice
PLEDJ has an extensive network of partnerships with community organizations and rights-based community practice centres locally and internationally. Central to all of our initiatives is establishing and supporting academically-linked and community-based organizations. These organisations serve three objectives: to provide services to the local community to solve social problems and promote community well-being; to provide a training centre for our students and volunteers to do their field placement and to co-create community projects; and to connect researchers with the community. These community based organizations are linked to PLEDJ’s academic partner in each geographic area, with academics as supervisors of students' work.
