About the event
Join us as we mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, honouring the fourteen women whose lives were taken in the Montreal Massacre and acknowledging all those affected by gender-based violence.
In recognition of this day, our founder, Amal Elsana Alh'jooj , will participate in the Memorial hosted by the Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter’s. Amal will share reflections from her memoir “Hope is a Woman’s Name”, highlighting women’s resilience, leadership and the ongoing struggle for safety and collective liberation.
