Agents for Social Change Youth

The YASC program is first of its kind in Montreal as it takes a novel approach to community training that addresses the ways humans think about themselves and their communities while also gaining on the ground experience.  It provides a platform for the youth who are keen to work in Canada’s charitable and social work sectors. The outcomes of PLEDJ’s YASC project are multifaceted.

 

It operationalizes the existing and diverse capacities of Canada’s youth. It provides an opportunity for Canadian youth to have hands-on experience in planning and implementing a project that has a direct impact on their communities.  It also fosters a cadre of para-professional leaders who help integrate a diverse group of Canadian youth into society and serve as bridges to professional resources, government institutions, and social services.

We are currently in the process of fund development and exploring new opportunities for our new program: Youth Agents for Social Change, a sister program to our well-received Agents for Social Change started in 2022.
